Light rail also serves the SoDo District including Lumen Field and T-Mobile Park, Beacon Hill, Mount Baker, Columbia City, the Rainier Valley, Rainier Beach, Tukwila, and then Sea-Tac Airport.

There are a total of eleven stops between downtown Seattle and the airport. The trip from downtown Seattle to the airport and vice versa costs about $3 and the 15.6–mile trip takes thirty-six minutes.

From downtown Seattle, the light rail service continues onto the University District and then Northgate, where it currently ends. Expansion to the north up to Lynnwood is planned in the coming years.

Rainy or adverse traffic conditions typically do not affect the commute time.

A Great Way to Get To & From the Airport

The Sea-Tac Airport light rail station is located near the northeast corner of the main airport parking garage, just west of the intersection of S. 176th Street and International Blvd. (Highway 99).

Several large hotels are also located near this intersection and the city of SeaTac is planning a city center near the light rail station.

The light rail station directly connects passengers via a 1,000 foot covered pedestrian walkway that connects to the airport ticketing concourse.
